E5103 Trial for LN+ or High Risk LN- Breast Cancer Qualifications
For patients 18 & older who have been diagnosed with Her2/neu negative breast cancer with a high risk of distant recurrence based on:
- At least 1 pos axillary LN and ● If ER pos then tumor ≥ 5 cm
- If ER neg then tumor ≥ 1 cm ● RS ≥ 11 if ER+ and tumor 1 to <5 cm
E5103 Trial Goals
One purpose of this study is to see if adding the new drug Avastin to either classical or dose dense AC à T improves overall survival of patients.
Another purpose of this study is to evaluate 24 vs 54 weeks of Avastin
Patients and MD are blinded for the first 7 cycles, unblinding occurs at D1 of Cycle 8; if on arm D, pts will receive Avastin for 1 yr total
