Amanda Centner, PA-C
Amanda Centner grew up in Southern New Hampshire and then moved to Florida to pursue her master’s degree. After having twins, they decided to move to North Carolina and absolutely love the area. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance from Simmons College in Boston, Mass., then studied pre-medical at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. followed by a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies at South University in Tampa, Fla.
From a young age, Amanda was always interested in medicine and the physiology of disease. She started working in immunotherapy clinical research but realized she was better suited to work in patient care instead of research focused. Working in oncology is very emotional but Amanda feels it’s a privilege to work with her patients and their families and to help them get through the worst diagnosis of their life.
