Susan Blumenthal, PA-C
Originally from Florida, Susan Blumenthal decided to move to North Carolina in 2008 for a better quality of life and opportunities for her family. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from Smith College in Northampton, Mass. and her Master of Medical Science degree in physician assistant studies from Northeastern University in Boston.
Susan started her education and interests in bioorganic chemistry but soon realized working in a lab wasn’t for her as she is a people person, so she decided to pursue medicine. She was introduced to oncology by a personal friend who happened to be an oncologist. Here she is 17 years later and loving the work she does. Susan treats all cancer types but has a special interest in breast cancer survivorship and patients in active oncology treatments. She truly enjoys working with her Waverly family and with so many wonderful patients.
